When working luxury motorhome rental into your next holiday budget, you may want to consider also putting aside some money for insurance coverage that comes along with renting a large vehicle, especially if you are travelling abroad to do so.
In these cases your normal auto insurance will not cover the costs of being out there and liable on the road in a vehicle far larger than the one you are most likely accustomed to driving, as the majority of the population does not drive a big rig.

If you’ve ever been convicted of a DUI or DWI, being at fault in an auto accident while not carrying appropriate insurance coverage, driving with a suspended license or some other serious driving offense, you may be required to file an SR22 form with your local Department of Motor Vehicles.
This form simply verifies that you currently carry the required insurance coverage in order to continue driving legally in your state. Most states require them but specific rules may vary among them somewhat.
