Extreme Motorhome Racing from Top Gear
See Richard Hammond literally drive a motorhome to pieces. In a cunning twist on their usual arrangements of staying in a motorhome and towing the cars to races on a trailer, the Top Gear team decide to leave the cars behind and race the different types of motorhomes instead.
“The little red Toyota had no bulk… and no power… but it was plucky.
And we respected that, for a bit.”

Fifth Gear Europe and the World’s Fastest Campervan (or is it!)
Fifth Gear Europe test drives the Colorado 655, built on a VW T5 chassis and professionally modified by Dutch company Karmann Mobil to raise it from 174hp to340hp. With a 2.5 litre turbodiesel engine and sports seats, it is described as ‘a Porsche 911 in a camper’. It’s so fast, he’s taking his whole summer holiday in one day.
