RV camping in England and the rest of Europe has become more popular in recent years, with facilities available for overseas visitors to rent a motorhome when they arrive. Many American travelers are naturally tempted to hire an American style of motorhome such as a Winnebago or Airstream model, rather than British and European makes such as Swift or Elddis motorhomes.
But it’s important to look before you leap. If you’re considering hiring a motorhome in England, it make sense to switch to a British motorhome if it’s a better solution for the circumstances. Here are some of the pros and cons of the American motorhome compared with the equivalent British model.

Is it time to get away from it all on a road trip with your friends and family? Renting a motorhome can be a fantastic way to experience travel. Get out of the city and go fishing and hiking, stay in campsites, but bring many of the comforts of home with you. It’s a fun way to explore the world: you can keep your schedule flexible and if you have kids they’ll think it’s really exciting to stay in a motorhome instead of a building!
