The final position is not looking good but hey, sometimes it’s all about being there and taking part.
Most non-parents have no idea how much a small child can derail the best of plans. I’ll never forget the time it took us 7 hours to drive the 150 miles from my brother’s house to mine with our two small children in the back. Ok, that trip was unusually bad, and sometimes there’s really nothing you can do but stop. But in many cases planning ahead can make a road trip more child friendly.
